A long wait

A looping figure stumbles out into the desert.

He encounters nature; it is big and arduous. And when it takes, it does so without assurances – possible revelation is trumped by a daunting and irrepressible thirst.

The lonely figure falters, his cheeks stung by the heat and his tongue torn by the sand. Caught between horizons he marches stubbornly towards relief; his entire being fatigued by an over drawn and overly long metaphor.

It's a long wait for a quick reprieve.
